Berlin, June 8th, 2020 – This afternoon, the london based Go-Ahead Group announced that Stefan Krispin will step down from his CEO position and thus the management of the existing Go-Ahead companies in Germany on June 12.
The second managing director of Go-Ahead Germany, Charles Hodgson, will take over overall responsibility for the German business together with Elodie Brian, CFO of the Go-Ahead Group.
In March 2014 Krispin began to prepare the Go-Ahead Group’s market entry into German railway industry. He was the CEO of Go-Ahead Verkehrsgesellschaft Deutschland, the German holding company of the British bus and train company Go-Ahead Group, from spring 2015. By winning five transport contracts, he also became Managing Director of Go-Ahead Baden-Württemberg based in Stuttgart in 2017 and Go-Ahead Bayern based in Augsburg from 2019.

The operational business of the operating companies Go-Ahead Baden-Württemberg and Go-Ahead Bavaria will continue to be managed by their managing directors. Since January 1, 2020, the leadership of Go-Ahead Baden-Württemberg has been the responsibility of Max Kaiser, Commercial Director, and Gordon Lemke, Technical Director. Bastian Goßner as Commercial Director and Stephen Head as Technical Director ad interim are responsible for the preparation of a successful start of operations for Go-Ahead Bayern in December 2021 and 2022. The managers continue to represent their operating companies to decision-makers from politics and business.
Charles Hodgson has worked for the Go-Ahead Group for eight years. In addition to his role in Germany, he is responsible for the strategy in the rail sector of the international group and business development in England and Scandinavia.
