Dr. Hans-Peter Sienknecht becomes Go-Ahead’s new Commercial Director in Baden-Württemberg

3.11.2017 – On 1 November 2017 Dr. Hans-Peter Sienknecht (61) took up the position of Go-Ahead’s Commercial Director in Baden-Württemberg.

From 2019 Go-Ahead is responsible for rail transport operations on Stuttgart’s Netz 1 and Murrbahn lines. Go-Ahead Baden-Württemberg will navigate approximately nine million train kilometres for its customers between Stuttgart, Würzburg, Crailsheim, Karlsruhe, Ulm and Nuremberg.

Dr. Hans-Peter Sienknecht, an economist and social scientist, was most recently employed as Commercial Director/CFO and Managing Director at Microsens GmbH & Co. KG. Before that, he worked successfully for six years as an interim-manager and consultant for medium-sized companies.

“We are delighted that with Hans-Peter Sienknecht we could obtain a commercial all-rounder with IT- and technical affinity, as well as excellent analytical skills and more than 25 years of experience, for Go-Ahead in Baden-Württemberg. He is a further important component in ensuring the successful start of operations in Baden-Württemberg in 2019,” said Stefan Krispin, Managing Director of Go-Ahead Germany.

Thanks to the various jobs he has had in various industries, Hans-Peter Sienknecht can draw on an unusually broad range of experience. For example, he was employed in commercial positions at management level in medium-sized, technology-driven companies. His experience encompasses the triad of public transportation, mechanical and plant engineering, as well as electronics and electrical engineering.
