Augsburg/Berlin, 17 May 2019 – Go-Ahead Bavaria invites all Länderbahn in Kempten and DB Regio employees as well as all other interested parties to attend “Go-Ahead in Bavaria – your information day”.
Following participation in two tender processes in Bavaria, Go-Ahead won the operation of the Allgäu Electric Network and of line 1 of the Augsburg rail network. This means that, beginning in late 2021, Go-Ahead will be in charge of railway operations in Bavaria for the Allgäu Electric Network route; starting in late 2022, Go-Ahead will also manage regional railway operations on line 1 of the Augsburg rail network. Go-Ahead Bavaria will thus operate a total of around ten million train kilometres for their passengers per year between Munich, Memmingen, and Lindau as well as between Munich, Augsburg, Ulm, Nördlingen, Treuchtllingen, Donauwörth, and Würzburg.
With the continuation of this event series, Go-Ahead is emphasising that it cares about more than modern trains, safety, punctuality, and environmental awareness; the company also wants to be a long-term partner for the passengers and employees of the region. Go-Ahead would very much like to enable the local employees to continue working in the region that is familiar to them and thus be able to remain in their working and living environments.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 28 May 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Länderbahn at its Kempten location for the personnel of Länderbahn. For DB employees and all other interested parties, the event will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m at the Kempodium, Untere Eicher Straße 3 in 87435 Kempten.
Go-Ahead Bavaria will take this opportunity to introduce themselves in general and in terms of the planned operations in the Allgäu. Furthermore, Go-Ahead will demonstrate the competitiveness of their salaries in accordance with the collective labour agreement between the company and the GDL. Insight will also be provided into the features, technology, and the vehicles which will be operating in the two Bavarian networks in the future.
Of course, Go-Ahead will also answer questions regarding the personnel transfer for DB employees. It is primarily thanks to our hard-working employees that Go-Ahead Bavaria has a personal touch and will be able to provide the best service to our future passengers every single day.
At home on the tracks.
