• Stand at the job fair in Stuttgart on 12 and 13 November
• Further candidate open days planned with the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit)
– 10.11.2016 – On 12 and 13 November, Go-Ahead Verkehrsgesellschaft Deutschland GmbH will be making an appearance at the Carl Benz Center in Stuttgart with its own stand at the job fair. This is the perfect occasion for anyone interested in learning more about Go-Ahead to take the opportunity to speak to the team, who will be happy to discuss entry options and career opportunities. The company offers jobs and apprenticeships for conductors, customer service representatives, maintenance technicians and, above all, train drivers.
In addition to its appearance at the job fair, Go-Ahead is also planning further candidate open days in conjunction with Germany’s Federal Employment Agency, the “Bundesagentur für Arbeit”. “Our last open day allowed us to inspire many suitable candidates with regard to both the company as a whole and the driver training we offer,” notes Stefan Krispin, Managing Director of Go-Ahead Verkehrsgesellschaft Deutschland GmbH. “This is exactly why we are looking to continue this successful cooperation and take advantage of further opportunities in the coming months to encourage yet more people to apply for our train driver positions.”
Successful applicants for train driver positions receive around a year’s worth of training, after which time they are offered a permanent position with Go-Ahead subject to satisfactory completion. This offer is aimed at people aged 20 or above who have achieved a “Hauptschulabschluss” or “Realschulabschluss” (or equivalent qualifications of secondary-school level) as a minimum. Prospective candidates should also have a basic understanding of technology and/or a professional background in the field. The first training course begins in Stuttgart in December, with further courses set to follow at regular intervals.
