Go-Ahead successfully continues with training for train drivers

Stuttgart, 17.04.2018 – in Lauda yesterday Go-Ahead Baden-Württemberg GmbH began what is already its eighth training course for the train driver traineeship.

The entire training process is divided into two stages and comprises a theoretical and practical part. It lasts for approximately ten months and is run by the training provider MEV Eisenbahn-Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH. After passing the exam, the participants are employed by Go-Ahead as train drivers. In the second stage of the training, the already acquired theory is put into practice in cooperation with the various partners. In this way every participant is optimally prepared for his or her future role as train driver in the Baden-Württemberg rail network.

The training is certified by AZAV (the German Accreditation and Authorization Ordinance for Employment Promotion) and can be sponsored by employment agencies or the job centre. Up to 15 prospective train drivers can take part in each course.

The next – ninth – course is scheduled to start on 25 June 2018 in Crailsheim.
