Berlin, 3 September 2019 – Go-Ahead Verkehrsgesellschaft Deutschland has passed the quality management recertification with flying colours. Go-Ahead’s quality management system aims to continually improve structures, processes and results across the entire company.
Receiving the up-to-date certificate for its management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 2015 means that proof of compliance with regulations is documented and certified according to the TÜV NORD CERT procedure.
The initial certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 2015 was carried out in 2016. The railway company received the certificate according to the new quality standard from September 2015 with the scope of application for administrative tasks, quotation and project management for the planned railway services in regional rail transport.
Certification renewal takes place every three years. In the time between, quality is assessed by means of annual monitoring audits. During an audit, specially-trained auditors investigate whether processes, requirements and guidelines meet the required standards.
For the recertification audit on 31 July and 1 August 2019, auditor Uwe Bornkessel from TÜV NORD CERT reviewed employees and documents from various areas of the company for two days in regards to the practical implementation of quality management. In so doing, the auditor was assured that the requirements of the reference standard were being met. This certification was carried out in accordance with the TÜV NORD CERT auditing and certification procedure and is monitored on a regular basis.
A smooth continuation of the strong performance from the previous year was possible thanks to the great commitment of all those involved. Stefan Krispin, Managing Director, thanked the employees for their efforts during the preparation and execution of the recertification.
