Get on board as a train driver!

This is your invite to our info day for applicants on 11 July 2017 in Stuttgart. We’re looking for train drivers and lateral entrants for the occupation of train driver.

Use this opportunity! If you send your application documents to us by 6 July, you will have the opportunity for a personal interview on the info day and to determine your suitability in a test.

Those interested in the occupation of train driver can find out more about the training, job profile and career prospects in our career section at.

We are offering a full year of training, which will be certified by AZAV (the German Accreditation and Authorization Ordinance for Employment Promotion) and can be sponsored by employment agencies or the job centre. The offer is aimed at people over 20 years old and who at least have a high school qualification. In addition, they should also have a certain technical foundational understanding or a relevant professional qualification. The first training course begins at the beginning of May in Heilbronn. Further courses will follow.

Go-Ahead guarantees permanent positions
The new train drivers will be working on the next generation FLIRT3 type rail cars on the Karlsruhe-Stuttgart-Aalen, Würzburg-Stuttgart and Crailsheim-Stuttgart-Ulm lines. Go-Ahead is also already looking for qualified train drivers that are seeking a new start in their careers.

If all health requirements are met and the application for the train driver license has been successful, Go-Ahead can guarantee a permanent position with an unlimited contract.

In addition, we are committed to paying our drivers according to union rates and have therefore already concluded a contract with the GDL [German Train Drivers’ Union] and are negotiating with others.
